Company: Optimum Property Management
Audience: A property management certification program is teaching future and current property managers about the applicant screening process. They are learning the application process for the first time in this course or are needing an updated training.
Business Problem: Property managers are not screening applicants properly, resulting in the acceptance of unqualified renters and leading to a higher turnover that can be costly to the business.
Solution: The training focuses on using the standard applicant practice, adhering to governing guidelines, and being able to effectively communicate applicant results.
Process: Utilizing the ADDIE model components, a needs analysis was used to pinpoint the crucial knowledge and skills required to bridge learning gaps. The content was strategically segmented to correspond with the learning objectives. Interactive elements were thoughtfully designed to enhance the user involvement and long term knowledge retention. A comprehensive learning solution was created through multiple rounds of development and feedback on Design Documents, Storyboards, and the Storyline module. Assessments align with Kirkpatrick's second and third levels of evaluation to measure the attained knowledge and skills, as well as the impact of the module on meeting the business objectives.
Evaluation: The Kirkpatrick Model's Level 2 evaluation would assess participant engagement and knowledge retention with a quiz containing scenario based questions. Kirkpatrick's Level 3 would focus on behavioral changes and the practical application of skills. Participants will be assessed 6 months after the training to see if the course information is being implemented correctly. The training will be considered successful if the property managers data is meeting the business goal of increasing qualified applicant acceptance by 20%. This will be determined by comparing prior performance data to the post training data.
